Cognitive Delay & Developmental Delays
Intellectually disabled children can be assessed to determine their cognitive strengths when teaching concepts. Usually your child has not only weaknesses but several strengths in which to approach learning. We can test for how to approach teaching your child.
Developmental delays are usually observed in children ages birth to 5 years. These delays will affect speech, motor skills, or cognitive reasoning skills. We can test for all these problems.
Gifted & Talented Testing for School
Every school has a standard for their Gifted and Talented program. This assessment will give your student a cognitive intelligence test. We will look at a score above +120. This student should be able to demonstrate excellent reading and math concepts in the classroom. Texas Assessment Specialists will assess this area with writing to compare them to a national population.
We can test these areas and provide a report to include their educational profile, cognitive strengths and academic scores. If your school requires recommendations we can help with that as well.
